Another fire started this afternoon. In the Feather Falls area. If you know anyone up that way, please check on them.

Prayers to those in that area.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. (KCRA) —Evacuation orders have been issued Tuesday for a 80-acre wildfire burning east of Lake Oroville in Butte County, Cal Fire officials said.
Residents on Lumpkin Road from Forbestown Road to the community of Feather Falls are under mandatory evacuation orders.

AdvertisementThe grass fire, dubbed the Ponderosa Fire, broke out just before 1:30 p.m. in the Robinson Mill area, near Ponderosa Way, Cal Fire tweeted.
Nazarene at 2238 Monte Vista Ave. in Oroville.
No additional details have been released.
A large plume of smoke produced by the fire can be seen from the Oroville Dam construction site, according to video from the California Department of Water Resources.
The plume can also be seen from the Sacramento area, KCRA reporter Tom Miller said.

2Grands on my way down the hill I met at LaPorte about 8 or 10 Cal Fire vehicles and a cat on a low bed heading up the road.
Maybe another fire or are they lost?
However they could cross Little Grass Valley Dam and go up the hill and hit the head of Lumpkin Ridge

And now another fire in North San Juan. We are headed into the most critical time as we have seen. Fires explode once they get started.
Be careful and be safe everyone!

Good question...worth some attention (and an answer).
