Conservatives/Republicans aren't happy unless they see the USA go through another Great Economic Depression like Con/Repub Herbert Hoover took us through in the early 30's; and the Economic Depressions Reagan and Bush#2 inflicted on this country.

As Adele Stan says, Trump's vile speech yesterday, which seemed unhinged, was carefully scripted. He read it from a teleprompter. it came right out of a Nazi playbook, as she notes. It was peppered with code-word appeals to the alt-right, to "the resentments of a restive remnant of white America—angry white men and the women who love them—and set the stage for mayhem in the wake of his likely electoral defeat."

It was, in short, a reminder of what a very dangerous man Donald Trump is, whose vision of this country he shares, and what he intends to do with it if he seizes power.

The Moral Majority is now the Immoral Minority

As Jonathan Chait says, the "moral majority" has now suddenly transformed itself into the immoral minority — given that their man Donald Trump is running for president: he writes, "A belief in the connection between personal morality and fitness for office used to be a bedrock of Republican politics. It undergirded the crusade to impeach Bill Clinton, and supplied the primary theme for George W. Bush’s presidential campaign, which promised to restore “honor and dignity” to the presidency.

Five years ago, white evangelical Protestants were the most heavily Republican voting bloc in the country, and also it's most moralistic. Only 30 percent of them believed that “an elected official can behave ethically even if they have committed transgressions in their personal life.”

But Donald Trump has changed all that.

Today, white evangelical Protestants are the least moralistic cohort of voters. According to a new PRRI/Brookings survey, a full 72 percent of them now believe elected officials can behave ethically even if they have committed transgressions in their personal lives."

The loony Right Republican Party prances on.

A while back I posted a piece Bill Moyers which was met with rabid response, accusing Moyers piece on voter registration opinion, lies and having no fact to it. Turns out, per the link below he was right on target not only about the state he referenced but several other states as well and now it is a legal record that these events did indeed take place. So much for a biased piece of "liberal fiction" when it turns out Moyers was correct prior to the court's judgment supporting the conclusion he and others came to independent of a court ruling. What's the line from the one song? "Oh when will they, ever learn?"

Republicans/Cons/madhatters/White Supremacists/KKK/Nazi German Trump are all up to the same old tricks that started with Tricky Dickie Nixon, perfected by Traitor Iran-Contra Reagan, done twice by the evil twins Cheney/Bush; and that is trying to rig, steal, and bully themselves into power.

The GOP is probably the largest hate group in the world that is now using terrorist tactics in our free country.

Donald Trump is rushed off stage by Secret Service agents at Nevada rally

[Then a fellow Republican was attacked after the Toxic Orange One was rushed off the stage like a delicate prom queen]

The 33-year-old – who says he has been a registered Republican for about six years – said he was kicked, punched and choked, and feared for his life when the crowd turned on him at the gathering in Reno, Nevada.

Crites [the Republican assault victim] cited Trump’s treatment of Mexicans, Muslims and women as the reason he decided to protest again Trump, who he described as “a textbook version of a dictator and a fascist”.

By the way, Crites' [the Republican assault victim] crime against za Fuehrer Trump was that he held up a sign that read, "Republicans against Trump." I guess that is a crime in Trump's warped dictator world.

Of course, not one of Trump's brown shirts will be prosecuted, I will Sorry Palin betcha.

Ah, just another day at a Trump KKK/White Supremacists/Nazi Rally.

Talk about vile and disgusting. No one comes close to Trump and his DEPLORABLE supporters.

If someone loses due to the eleciton of an individual, then how can it be a laughing matter?

In sports, excess celebration is called gloating. There are penalties for gloating.

A certain amount of celebration is earned. Is trampling on the underdog celebrating or gloating? Is grousing about the winner something like gloating?

In elections there are no penalites for gloating.

Except for the ill will created. On both sides. Both sides lose.

Does someone have to lose so some one else can win? That is called a zero sum game. Or a redistribution of wealth.

Consider looking at the outcome from the other person's point of view. The difference between Senator McCarthy and General Marshall. The difference between the "Peace treaties" of 1917 and the declarations of surrender after WW II. The punishment mentality of California courts. Fixing the blame while ignoring the problem. Instead of fixing the problem, concentration is on finding the guilty party. Even if there is no guilty party, some one must be punished.

    Ultimatum game:
    My way or the highway.
    What's yours is mine.
    You must share.
Note that Wikipedia says the attempted explanation is too technical for mere mortals to understand. As a mere mortal, I need some help.
Here's my example. Mom gives my sister a cake to share with me. If I like my sister, I'll accept any offer she makes. Even keeping the entire cake to herself. If I don't like my sister and she doesn't give me the entire cake, I'll hold my breath and roll on the floor, kicking and screaming, until I turn blue in the face. At which point, mom steps in and takes the cake away from both of us. Serves my sister right for being so greedy. Somewhere in between the extremes is a strike point at which I accept what my sister offers. Both of us, my sister, me and even maybe mom are happy.
And if I really don't like my sister, I'll mash the cake into her face and go running to mom.
Is there an example of deplorable in that example?

Hey troll, read this very carefully, wanting it makes you idealist, forcing someone to pay for it makes you unpatriotic, a socialist or communist. A person giving of their substance voluntarily makes them a good person. Agency or freedom to choose, is what the war in heaven was all about. Nothing in the constitution says anything about health care or food, that is socialistic dogma. Our preamble says we have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and then it outlines it in the Constitution and our Bill of Rights. If you take it from one person to give to another makes you a thief, not a good person. Our government has nothing until it takes if from the people.

The insurance industry is behind the fact we have no health care in this country. FREE and true health care like in all civilized countries of this world.

We need to kick the blood-sucking insurance industry out of our health care system once and for all. We will not have health care for everyone until that happens.

If we can spend billions and billions for bombs to kill a whole lot of folks, we sure can afford a few billion for health care and education.

Obama Care just made not having healthcare illegal.

The problem is the cost of healthcare and the abuse of the system. We should limit the third party payer system and only use it for catastrophic cases. General health care needs should be taken care of by the individual. The government could offer zero interest loans to people that need it and they can pay it back with tax returns if they can't afford the payments.
When the person is footing the bill the cost becomes an issue then the market can work.
If a doctor does not have enough patients he will lower his rates and if a pharmacutical company or medical equipment company aren't selling there equipment fast enough they will lower their prices. Unless they have to pay twenty five dollars an hour for entry level workers and have to raise the wages of more experienced workers to keep them on. Then the cost can not go down and people make more money but cant afford to buy anything with it.
it is perfectly acceptable for a person to be responsible for their own welfare and that of their children.
